At 1st & Comp, we pride ourselves in working with you, the artist, to create a final written product that you are proud of. We won't do the work for you, but we will teach you the methods and strategies you'll need to become a more confident writer.

A judgement-free zone, the studio is a place for all who desire to become stronger writers. Here, you will find writing practices and strategies backed by research and experience.
Text messages, Google/Yelp reviews, emails, social media posts, cover letters, academic papers, op-eds... No writing sample is too big or too small to be reviewed/edited before pressing send.
Student Composition Coaching
This service is reserved for students 8th grade through seniors in college! Weekly F2F or virtual sessions establishing healthy writing practices to boosts confidence in both writing and speaking, critical thinking and analytical skills.
Professional Composition Coaching
For the working professional who may struggle with writing or desires an extra opinion, F2F or virtual sessions equip artist with writing strategies to implement daily.
